Reviews for our Therapists

Therapy has been a sudden requirement I never realised I needed until I started it. Sneha has been the most empathetic to my most difficult situations.. all I needed was a place to say what I was feeling and talk about it and Sneha provided that space for me. Through therapy from Sneha, I was able to reflect on why I was so anxious about different parts of my life and I was guided to realize ways in which I could cope with them as well. Sneha is the kind of therapist who anyone can benefit from.
Through therapy I have been able to come out of my shell, I’ve tried things I’ve always wanted to in life but never had enough confidence in myself to do so. But therapy made me love myself more and I feel so much better about myself now. Thanks to Sneha therapy has been really great for me.
My child has been dealing with anxiety for a year now and we were quite confused about what to do. But through sessions with Sneha, it is not just my child’s issues which have improved but our family life as well. Sneha took the time to empathetically understand where my child was coming from in terms of her difficulties and guided us as parents as well, so we could connect better as a family.
Tanveer is well-versed in the neuroscience of emotions & explains aptly how it how affects our behaviour. Tanveer is very kind & doesn’t label a person & gives constructive feedback whenever necessary. His approach is collaborative in the sessions & doesn’t impose suggestions upon me, rather he gives me the choice to do self-analysis to make informed decisions.
When I entered the therapy room, I was pessimistic about my future prospects. However, Tanveer helped me to traverse the path dotted with numerous challenges & achieve self-efficacy. Giving up substance use was an uphill task but Tanveer guided me to explore alternative coping mechanisms to deal with challenges. I follow up regularly with Tanveer to learn new skills & maintain recovery.
Tanveer provides empathetic & non-judgemental space & knows the craft of administering the therapeutic tools in such a manner that it helps me to look at my mental health issues differently & enhances my commitment to recovery.
The disruptive behaviour had affected the academic performance of my son and made him socially isolated. My son was initially hesitant to open up to Tanveer in the therapy sessions however Tanveer demonstrated extreme patience & built a warm relationship with my son. With Tanveer’s empathetic approach, my son started responding in the therapy & now my son is able to self-regulate and his performance in school has also improved. I also learnt healthy and effective methods of parenting which has helped me to strengthen my bond with my son.
Tanveer is a thorough professional & lends his ear without interrupting the person with mental health issues. I was emotionally drained when I was referred to Tanveer by a friend & I realized with the help of a therapist that healing from trauma is possible. With the support of Tanveer, I have got back a hold of my life & have made progress in my career.
Tanveer has helped me to pass through the stormy phase of my life. Tanveer helped me in identifying the association between my thoughts & emotions. I no longer care about my negative thoughts as I have been empowered enough to deal with uncomfortable emotions triggered by unavoidable situations. I have learnt new skills to deal with tough situations & find practical solutions.
I had a number of false starts with therapists, and so, I can only say that I wish I had found K sooner! Over a period of 4 years I had seen multiple therapists to address issues relating to anxiety, stress and workplace stress. I was extremely hesitant about seeing another therapist
with invariably unsatisfying results from previous experiences.
But then later with K, it really helped me to make it clear and she collaborated with me to establish workable tactics for releasing their hold after I helped her identify the roots of deeply ingrained, self-defeating thought patterns. When necessary, she is proactive and
constructively demanding while still being patient and caring. This mix of empathy and thorough questioning of my unfavourable assumptions proved to be really beneficial.
I felt a lot better at work, developed the courage to apply for a new job with success (which would have been unthinkable before I started therapy), and made significant relationship strides as a result of the process.
Krishnendu was able to assist us in realising that our perceived financial differences were actually caused by our anxieties, insecurities, and needs for independence. She did this by helping us focus on what is most important in our relationship. We produced a lot of work together during the past month. Krishnendu assisted us in resolving our final difficult financial disagreement from our pre-wedding pre-nuptial agreement. Now that we have more experience and knowledge, we are better equipped to handle any future recurrences of these problems. She is a competent and compassionate professional.
Had a wonderful working relationship with K. I found K to be very approachable and she gave me the freedom to conduct our sessions whatever I needed to, so I was left feeling reenergized and driven. I would unquestionably suggest K to anyone trying to work through issues in therapy since she was kind, polite, and dependable at all times, even when I was a little hesitant to allot sessions that worked with my schedule.
I went in with no expectations as a complete rookie and some apprehension about the entire procedure. However, Ms K offered a warm and interesting environment where I could begin to carefully sort out my ideas. I found it to be a very helpful activity that I would highly suggest. She offered prompts when needed, a light push when necessary, and advice on certain matters when sought. I did have issues with my identity and relationship issues based on those insecurities. Ms K is someone who was a non-judgemental person and supportive soul who helped me address my core beliefs and insecurities regarding the same. I have been in therapy with her for 3 months, and I am fully satisfied with the journey with Ms K.

I was very hesitant to start therapy due to the stigma involved. It took me some time to accept that it would benefit me and I took the leap. I have had about 10 sessions with Eshaa now. My life has a lot of issues which made it extremely hard for me to function fully. My family, relationship as well as my career was a big mess. Eshaa was very understanding, validating, patient and encouraging. She helped me trust her and the process of therapy first. She asked me questions which led to a lot of self realisations. She also educated me about a lot of things that helped me with solution focused actions. More than anything, she always empathised with how I was feeling and helped me confront my situations. Even though there are many things which are still messy, she has made me realise that I can only focus on what is in my control. I wouldn’t say therapy is magic, it takes a lot of work, but it is worth it.
Eshaa is extremely understanding and makes me feel like I can open up easily. She has been so patient throughout my sessions with her and has helped me talk about the most difficult things in my life. Therapy with her has given me a chance to process my emotions and face the fears that I have. I feel more regulated now, and I am glad I found her as my therapist.
I started therapy with Eshaa 4 months ago, and I can feel so much change in myself. I am in better control of my anxiety, panic attacks don’t scare me anymore and I am more compassionate with myself. She has provided a safe space for me to grow, gain a better understanding of myself and understand my triggers. I know that I am healing and becoming a better version of myself.
I met Devika ma’am when I had lost faith in the counseling process. Previously, I had sessions with other psychologists but something wasn’t clicking and I was very disappointed.
However, in the very first meeting with ma’am I realized that I met someone who understands me. Her approach is very kind and affectionate. She genuinely tries to understand the real reasons behind any issues and offers practical solutions that really help. I am under her consultation for quite sometime and I have changed for the best. All we can aspire is to attain our true self and realize our full potential which ma’am surely knows how to help with that.
She is very approachable and always makes me feel that she will be available at any time which is all one can ask for; to have a person when you need it most.
Had an amazing time with Devika ma’am, she helped me alot analyzing parts of my personality and it really helped me bettering my relationship with my in-laws and especially my husband.
Devika ma’am is very nice. She listens to the problem calmly and tells regarding the problem and what should be done and how it should be done very accurately
Devika turned out to be a great combination of most patient, and most professional, helping us overcome a difficult period. She has knowledge and is insightful, with an abundance of empathy, to help people: we recommend her to all those that need counseling.
I felt much lighter after speaking to Rima. She actually listens to understand. I have had two sessions with her and I already feel that there is an improvement in my thinking patterns. She made me feel that I no longer have to struggle alone with my issues and we will work on it together.
My mom was initially very skeptical about seeking counselling as she understands English but is unable to express herself freely. She agreed when I told her that the session would be in Hindi. Mom was very comfortable as Rima could relate to mom’s issues related to the culture and family traditions. Rima was non-judgmental and helped my mom open up easily. She helped her gain insight to her ruminating thoughts and helped her with techniques regarding the same.
Ms Limpee was exceptional in helping me pass through my depression phase. I think she is the only counselling psychologist who actually listens and helped me with utmost care. I wouldn’t have been much of a person if I hadn’t met her. I can’t thank her more. Please visit your counselling psychologist. Mental health can be cured and it’s high time we stop treating it as taboo. I defeated depression so can you! 😇
Limpee said “don’t focus unnecessarily on stuff”; “You know how to be right-for OCD”; “expose yourself to the situations you are afraid of”; “fake it until you make it to your fear”; “believe that you can do it and have faith in yourself”; “It’s okay to be non-binary, take a stand and be bold”. She has always been guiding me with well-suited directions for solutions. All these reduced my OCD anxiety and sexual orientation dysphoria. Today, I am a proud non-binary and certainly mentally well. Definitely, her professional help is a great healing cause and is unforgettable.
Edmund is a very nice and caring counsellor. I feel really happy that I finally seek help after so many years of suffering even though it’s expensive for the therapy but it really help me a lot in my mental health and I feel so much better in life. Thank you Edmund!!
Thank you, Edmund, for the service. He was very friendly and patient. I am pretty much feeling better after knowing more about myself. Thank you 🥰
I like the consistency in my sessions with Edmund as he helps me take small steps to cope with my issues.
Edmund asked me very good questions.
Edmund is patient and the advice he gave is useful.
Karen has greatly helped me in the several issues I faced. I was stuck in a really bad place when I started my counselling sessions with her but after almost half a year with her, I have gained so much clarity, calmness, and self-confidence. I was really lost and stuck on multiple issues, but she was very patient in getting to the core of each issue I faced, very respectful, and gave off a very comfortable sense of warmth.
I also like that the communication is very clear, and that we both know exactly what we are trying to work on for every session or for every exercise/technique that she introduces. She has given me very useful tools that I continue to practice in my daily life or for whenever I have to deal with the issues that used to affect me greatly, but no longer do now because of these techniques she’s taught. I’m immensely grateful to have found her for therapy and for all the things she’s taught me through our sessions.
I was seeking couples’ counselling and was glad to come across TYHO. I was impressed by the efficient and thorough service I encountered when booking, and our counsellor Karen was also empathetic and easy to talk to. She provided a judgement-free zone for my partner and I to discuss issues, and offered us sound strategies for coping and conflict resolution. I feel more confident in my relationship and would recommend TYHO to others.
I look forward to all my sessions with Karen. I truly believe the time spent with her has given me the tools & guidance to navigate my past, present & future better. Actionable points to note after session, content of session is insightful & nurturing. Not too harsh & I find I can uncover hidden root problems to heal from.
Karen Chok is an exceptional counsellor. She’s the best therapist I have ever worked with and cannot say enough good things about her. She is extremely helpful, thoughtful and offers exceptionally good advice and research.
Alicia is a highly professional counsellor. She has helped me to understand myself better in order to thrive in my relationship and work. Not only does she mindfully listen when I share with her the difficulties I am facing, she acknowledges how I feel with high empathy, helps me to process my thoughts, and supports me in recognising my strengths even when I am feeling incredibly demoralised or unmotivated. She is great in building rapport and makes me feel like no problem is too small a problem. This in turn helps me open up about my vulnerabilities more easily and learn to be more compassionate towards myself. There is a sense of trust and friendship in our client-therapist relationship, something that I’ve yet to experience despite having seen at least 3 other therapists, and I really appreciate the genuine support she has given me over the past 2-3 months. 🙂
It is my first time going for counselling and Alicia is very patient and friendly through it all. I went into the session feeling confused about my own emotions, and Alicia helped to untangle the knots in my head by asking me questions and painting rhetorical scenarios I have never considered before. She is very sharp at picking up details and reading between the lines, and these helped me to confront many issues that I often try to avoid thinking about. Alicia is truly empathetic and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for help to get back on their feet.
Sessions are also convenient and comfortable. I like that I can choose the place/environment that I am doing it from.
I look forward to every therapy session with Alicia as I know she would be able to shed light on any issue I’m wrestling with. She is a warm and empathetic listener, pays attention to details, and draws on a wealth of experience to provide helpful insights and prompts for deeper self-reflection. I’m grateful for her help to get me back up on my feet, and for the safe environment she actively fosters. I feel like I can talk about anything with Alicia, and she’ll always share insights or ask questions that allow me to reflect deeper or consider new ways of approaching an issue.
Alicia is a therapist I would recommend to my family and friends. With her prior experience, she is able to understand my situation and feelings very well. She helped me make sense of how I am feeling and how I can manage them. She makes me feel calm and comfortable which makes me open up to her about my feelings easily. Alicia is very attentive and listens to me. She explains and makes sense of what I am going through. It’s nice to have someone who listens to me and is concerned for my well-being. I also liked that I was access therapy from home.
I’ve tried several different therapists, and I’m so glad I found Alicia. She is a great listener, but also interjects with thought-provoking questions that challenge some of my beliefs and help me uncover new insight into thinking patterns that may be flawed and harmful. I really needed someone who could bring wisdom from their life experiences to guide me, but still remain relatable to a millennial. And Alicia has certainly been the sweet spot between the two!
Online counselling also makes it easy to attend sessions consistently. At the end of my sessions, I always feel heard and more clear-headed.
I’ve been to therapy elsewhere before but now I feel like I am really progressing with Alicia. She is very observant and good at picking up cues that I may not even be aware of. She is very knowledgeable in what she does, and she has so much empathy, which makes me feel like I can be more and more vulnerable after each session. Great skills that every therapist should have. I am very happy with my therapist and would highly recommend her. She is also very insightful and very observant in reading in between the lines of what I say.
Alicia is a counsellor who I find empathetic, attentive, and careful in handling my emotional unloading and queries. She listens and responds precisely without judgement. Her engaging and kind disposition makes me feel comfortable whenever I am talking about what is on my mind. Never once did I feel inferior around her – she always treats me with respect and gives thought to my values and honest opinions as well.
Sessions are also convenient with slots in the after hours, where most of us have our guard down and are vulnerable.
I felt that Alicia has helped me in every step of the way as I move forward to the different stages of my life. She is interactive and attentive to my needs: Alicia answers all my questions and engages me in the sessions which make it easier for me to digest the information and reflect on those sessions later on. She empathises, listens and acknowleges all my emotions. As sessions took place at the comfort of my own home,I felt comfortable knowing that I can talk just about my worries with her in a safe environment.
Alicia was very patient and kind. She was also an excellent listener, non-judgemental, and helped me walk through my thought processes clearly. She created a safe environment for me to talk about my fears and worries which helped me open up to her freely. I liked that we began punctually, and I could do it from the convenience of my home.
Alicia has knowledge on how to clearly deal with topics at hand.
Alice has in a very short period of time, been able to help me understand myself a lot better. She has not only given me practical tools to deal with triggers which may come up but has been able to trace it back to deep root causes and explain it to me. Her warm, kind, authentic personality makes it a safe space to open up and explore, and her supportive, wise presence is evident even outside sessions. I feel lucky to have her walk beside me in my journey of self-discovery and healing. Alice is an amazing therapist with a warm, kind personality. She is not only competent technically at her work, but her deep empathy helps me connect with her and open up fully. She is always supportive and wise, and I feel very confident about our journey together.
Alice does not put herself above the client. Her candor makes the sessions more effective and focused. There is a strong therapeutic alliance because CBT and EMDR suit my personality and needs. Alice is practical and pragmatic in her approach. She is also effective and focused.
Hands down to Alice Ho Tan. She is a down-to-earth coach. With her many years of experience and her readiness, she provided me a safe space to pour out my worries, concerns, fears, confusions and many more trapped emotions without judgement. Alice’s willingness to walk through the journey together has helped me gain confidence that things will eventually be fine! One thing that I learned through Alice that anybody and everybody can experience anxiety, depression and burnout – it is ok and there should be no shame in seeking help. Healing is a messy process but it is possible even if that someone has a long history of PTSD.
I went to Alice for some relationship problems which I had difficulty figuring out on my own. She provided a safe space for me to share my deepest thoughts without judgement and was able to share her analysis of the behaviour of my partner and me. She is also very patient and was able to show empathy. By delving deeper into my emotions, I feel that I am working towards my goal of self-awareness!
Alice was fantastic as my counsellor. She was incredibly effective – she understood me more in one session than others have been able to over multiple sessions in the past. Not only was she a really competent counsellor, but she was also deeply empathetic and connected with me on an emotional level.
I decided to give therapy a try after years of hesitation and I’m glad I came across TYHO. As they offer online therapy, it provides a lot of convenience, especially during circuit breaker.
Alice is very encouraging and kind, and provides a good listening ear and a safe space for me to share about my problems. This makes me feel more at ease about going through counselling. The sessions have helped me identify some of my triggers, and with Alice’s help, I can recognize when I am feeling down which helps me to manage my emotions better.
Jeanette takes great care to listen to my issues and offers very practical and useful perspectives and possible workouts to solve thorny problems. She is empathetic and clearly enjoys her work which is to help people through difficult issues / situations / times. Her comments and insights often leave me wondering: “Oh how come I didn’t think of that?” or “Oh, that’s how my spouse looks at what’s happened.”
I highly recommend her to couples seeking marital counselling no matter how complex or simple their everyday situations are. Sessions with her could even be a refresher course to improve marital relationships.
Moreover, TYHO makes it very simple to have sessions as you can literally talk to a professional from home – amazing when one thinks about how things used to be having to make an appointment and travel down to the office on that day itself.
Jeanette is very friendly, open, and didn’t judge me for the things I said even when my thoughts were messy and all over the place — she lets me talk through the issues I needed to think about and offered kind support. In particular, I appreciate her her candour and openness to discussing issues (even when my thoughts are quite scattered).
I appreciate that I feel comfortable sharing with Jeanette – she’s professional yet also personable and empathetic. During sessions, she’s intuitive, non-judgemental, and really gets it. I don’t have the sort of “hangover” that I sometimes get after counselling where I feel momentarily worse about myself. She’s been a great help, and I look forward to continuing to work with her through my thought processes and maintaining my mental well-being.
Jeanette was really patient. She understood how I viewed my issues and narratives. She also suggested alternative ways of coping that she felt would work better for me, and I too found them suitable.
Alyssa is an incredibly good listener. I feel very safe to pour my heart out to her, without feeling any judgement. I truly felt I got the support I needed. She definitely held the space for me to explore and understand my emotions and thoughts so much better. I always leave each session with a much more elevated mood, and empowered that I’m able to come to a conclusion/ closure with my issues. My experience has been wonderful so far. I was telling Alyssa how TYHO is such an incredible company name; it doesn’t sound intimidating or scary, especially for people who want to reach out for help. At least it sounded like this to me 🙂
Alyssa was my first counsellor ever, and I’m so glad she made it such a great experience for me. I went into the session not really expecting much and was honestly quite intimidated. But she managed to hold space and make me feel heard. She was very kind, open, and really asked the right questions for me to reflect and give myself time to think. My sessions with Alyssa were definitely helpful and I would come to see her again should I feel that I need to talk to a professional.
Alyssa was really genuine; the way she tries to understand me was through easy-going conversations and questions, not invasive/straightforward. She really made me feel comfortable to share my thoughts and worries. It felt really comfortable being able to talk freely and express my thoughts and worries. Simple affirmations also helped to make me feel better. Just being able to sense that she was genuine made the whole process easier and better.
Alyssa is very friendly and warm which helps me to open up. She is also knowledgeable, perceptive, and very receptive to feedback. I shared that I would like to learn more about strategies and she worked on it immediately.
I also liked the convenience of meeting online over Zoom, the ease of scheduling, and effectiveness in terms of targetedness and duration of session.
I had a good live chat conversation with Alyssa. She is a great listener – she made me feel better as I was able to discuss my troubles with her openly. If you are looking for a setting that is relaxing and without judgment, take the first step and try out TYHO.
I found Alyssa very warm and easy to talk to. She is a really great listener and very empathetic. Her suggested coping strategies were also quite manageable and not too extreme. I felt very comfortable. 😊
Alyssa is a very attentive listener and takes note of nitty-gritty details that may not matter to most people, but they do to me. I appreciate her attentiveness. During sessions, I was able to talk my heart out without judgment, and felt validated, supported, and heard.
Alyssa has helped us as a couple to improve our communication with each other, which in turn allowed us to understand each other better. She provides practical advice and tools for us to practice as well. I’m glad I found Alyssa through the platform.
Alyssa is a great and attentive listener. She is able to pick up key points and provide a good summary of the current and past sessions. I always feel comfortable and safe conversing with her as she helps me realize myself and view it from a different perspective.
Alyssa was very amicable and actively listened to what was being said. It was like chatting with a friend.
With Alyssa, I felt heard and assured. During sessions, she is empathetic, friendly and easy to open up to.
